Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max: Thinking Of Buying One? It Might Cost You More Than You Think

Apple may keep the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pricing at $1,099 and $1,199, respectively despite growing component costs. But Apple Intelligence could someday provide advanced AI capabilities as a subscription service — perhaps $15 a month or $180 annually. Apple is working with Google on Gemini models and cloud infrastructure. Hardware prices remain reasonable, but recurring software payments can increase the overall cost of ownership over time.

Sony 1000X The Collexion review

Sony honors 10 years of ANC leadership with the limited 1000X The Collexion — a luxurious reinterpretation of the WH-1000XM6. Synthetic leather earcups, stainless steel hinges, handmade carbon-composite drivers calibrated by mastering professionals, and 360 Upmix spatial audio. It has a cleaner midrange, a larger soundstage and more comfort than the XM6. However, battery life lowers to ~25 hours (vs 30), ANC is a little less effective owing to looser seal, and the $200 increase is expensive.

Hackers got their hands on health data from this smart ring manufacturer and the answer is disturbing

Smart ring maker Ultrahuman was breached March 27 when hackers accessed an internal analytics system using stolen employee credentials. Wellness data of ~0.1% of users (~700 people) were reviewed. No stolen passwords, payments or rings. The corporation spotted it within hours but won’t disclose if any data was exfiltrated, describing access as “read-only.” Health data – sleep, heart rate, stress – is permanent and sensitive, and the vagueness is disconcerting to users and critics.
