What to expect from Siri at WWDC this Monday, and beyond
Siri will be the star of WWDC 2026 this Monday, and even after that day when iOS 27 developer beta 1 is released.
You likely already know that this Monday is WWDC 2025. This year’s Apple Developers Conference is significant since the tech giant is expected to make up for some of its prior oversights. The keynote at WWDC 2026 on Monday will show off the new and better Siri
Apple's keynote on Monday will feature the upgrade to Siri 2.0, new AI capabilities and operating system improvements for iPhone (iOS 27), iPad (iPadOS 27), Mac (macOS 27), Apple TV (tvOS 27), Apple Watch (watchOS 27) and Vision Pro (visionOS 27), according to Bloomberg. Of course, the Siri redesign is arguably the most anticipated upgrade. And Siri WWDC 2026 will show that Siri becomes immediately smarter thanks to a special 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model from Google, costing Apple $1 billion per year. One major change: most of Siri will live on Google servers, raising privacy worries. This is a huge discussion point Siri WWDC 2026.
A retrospective of promises made
Apple teased future Siri features such as personal context, deep app integration and on-screen awareness at WWDC in June 2024.
Three months later, Apple put out an ad with British actress Bella Ramsey that showed off Siri’s personal context knowledge to figure out the name of a man approaching toward her who looked familiar. What's the name of the guy I had a meeting with couple of months ago at Café Grenel, Siri?" And Siri is correct: "Zac. That demo set the standard, and Siri WWDC 2026 will deliver on that promise.
