The OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16 are expected to launch in this period

It looks like September will be a hectic month for new phones in China. Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo are all set to release their next-gen flagship lines in September, the news is out. Now we are hearing about their sub brands too.

The OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16 are also said to be launching next month as per the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station over at Weibo. If you guessed September, you get a point. For some context, the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 launched only in October last year.

So yeah September is going to be busy. Most of these smartphones will ultimately find their way to global markets, including the OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16, but don’t anticipate that to happen in September. There’s nearly always at least a few weeks delay so late October is probably the very earliest we’d see them outside of China. Or maybe even later.

But what do we know about the phones themselves? Not much. We’ve heard a rumor about the OnePlus 16 recently and it has left a few folks wondering about its camera arrangement. And the iQOO 16? So far we learned that it is on the way and it is not inexpensive – type of like the OnePlus 16.
