Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ specs leak ahead of launch
The new Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has recently arrived in India and if you feel like you have seen the phone before, you probably have. It’s basically a rebadged version of the worldwide Edge 70 Pro, with that iconic 50MP telephoto camera that offers 3.5x optical zoom.
Available in three Pantone-inspired colors, this chicory coffee (a dark brown), Zinfandel (a deep red), and Stormy Sea (a dark blue).
The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a buttery 144Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and has a maximum local brightness of 5,200 nits, enough to cut through the sun.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Turn it around and the camera arrangement is around 50 megapixels. Main shooter with Sony LYTIA-710 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. Accompanied by 50MP telephoto (81mm equivalent) and 50MP ultrawide. On the front, another 50MP sensor is tucked into a punch-hole for selfies.
Battery life looks solid on a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. It also supports 90W cable charging and 15W wireless charging. Software-wise, you have Motorola’s Hello UI running on top of Android 16, with the Moto AI 2.0 package. The business is offering three major Android upgrades and five years of security updates. And it’s IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water protection.
The Edge 70 Pro+ is available in a single variant (12GB/256GB) with a price tag of Rs 47,999 (~$501/€432). It will be available online from Motorola’s official online shop and participating retailers with open sales in India from June 11.
