Dell has never shied away from expensive and sleek notebooks, and at Computex 2026, it recently announced a big new member to the XPS family: the Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition. This one comes with a brand new Arm-based RTX Spark processor from NVIDIA, and it’s definitely targeting creators and developers that require significant performance for everyday productivity, 4K video editing, rendering, and demanding tasks, and they don’t want to break a sweat. Only yesterday, Dell announced a slew of new XPS laptops and displays, so they're busy.

What the Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition offers

The XPS 16 Creator Edition is designed to fill the space between a professional workstation and a personal laptop. The NVIDIA RTX Spark platform gives you the power of around an RTX 5070 graphics card and a super-efficient CPU – all in a tiny, portable design.

What does that signify in real life ? Smoother playback on 4:2:2 4K timelines Faster exports Snappier multitasking between complicated 3D scenarios A more fluid experience while using AI-assisted production tools. The XPS 16 is loaded with up to 128GB of unified memory and is one of the first Dell laptops to offer the full suite of AI platform and RTX technologies from NVIDIA. So you can zip through demanding workflows without carrying around a big brick.

Then there’s the other star of the show, the Tandem OLED display. It supports True Black HDR 600, so colours are accurate and true to life - just what you need when you’re working on projects and renders and want the colours to come out just like you wanted. And, on the connectivity front, Dell didn't scrimp either. You get a built-in SD card reader for swiftly downloading photographs or video, and an HDMI port for linking up external displays or other gear.

Release date and availability – still a mystery Pricing

Dell has yet to share pricing or release date info, but when the XPS 16 Creator Edition arrives, it’ll be up against the Surface Laptop Ultra and the MacBook Pro. Given that Dell is prioritising design, display quality and efficiency over raw gaming power, this laptop might be a great option for video editors, photographers, designers and developers who want a huge, stunning screen in a reasonably thin and light body.

Dell has indicated the XPS 16 Creator Edition is just the beginning of a deeper cooperation with NVIDIA, implying more NVIDIA-based laptops are in the pipeline. We’ll have to wait for official pricing and detailed specs, but most next-gen RTX Spark laptops are anticipated to be available in the autumn of 2026, with a starting price of at least $2000 – roughly on level with the newest MacBook Pro models.
